people often assume that the so-called "anonymity" of the internet allows most people to take on a different personality to hide behind.

just the opposite is true, actually.

psychologists, sociologists and other profilers have shown that when people post messages, they're actually showing their true selves, whether they intend to or not.

so henry is clearly an oprah-worshipping, RIAA troll.

in otherwords, a dumbass.

Jon, I read this site via the RSS feed; I wonder, how hard would it be to set up a feed that only had the good stuff, and none of this er... shit? I admit I read it, but rather like bingeing on too much cheap chocolate (I do that too) I wish there was a way that my higher brain could force me to avoid it. Both make me feel sick afterwards.

This site sucks worse every time I come here.

We USED to get information about p2p advocacy (albeit, usually of the whiniest "why pay for crap when you can get it for free"/"Your an RIAA TROLL!" sort imaginable, but now, you can't even manage that. NOW we get the equivalent of "doody" jokes from 3rd grade. I gotta ask: are you on crack again, or just going senile?

This wasn't even "news" when Oprah was bleating about it years ago, nor is it the slightest bit "cool". Civet-cat-shit coffee? Wow.

Just to save you the effort of coming up with more "stories" for all of us(which, given the state of the site lately, is obviously causing progressive brain-damage of some kind), I offer THESE gems of wit for your perusal:

    1. There's a lot of "fart-lighting" videos on Youtube. (Thus, you don't have to report it on this site, because WE ALREADY KNOW.
     2. "Tee Hee hee, you said 'poop'" isn't particularly funny after you're out of elementary school.
     3. Not EVERYBODY who fails to completely embrace and applaud EVERY application of p2p is an "RIAA shill."
     4. Not EVERYBODY who defends copyright law (at least in SOME form) and/or the artist's right to be compensated for the work they do/claims that creative professions DESERVE the SAME respect as working at McDonalds is an "RIAA Troll."
     5. "Why pay for crap if you can get it for free?" is the mantra of theiving assholes, NOT of any "genuine revolution in the understanding of copyright."
    6. There are REAL alternatives to this sad little web-rag of yours, Jon. www.questioncopyright.org and Torrentfreak are two sites which consistently give their readers thorough coverage of the p2p/"free culture" scene, and offer a better understanding of the purpose -- and problems -- of copyright law. YOU spend too much time hurling ad hominem bullshit about how the RIAA is "just like the mob" to actually bother with things of that nature, right?

(Oh, wait, I forgot -- NOW we occasionally get his daughter posting up "whackiness" like "badger badger badger" as well!)

Yes, Jon, the "civet cat cofee" thing WAS lame.

^^ OK, OK! Don't get your knickers in a twist.

It was news to me, and questions remain unanswered, such as the excellent, "It is still unknown if it is the digestion of the Civet that gives the great taste, or if it is because the Civet can tell which cherries are the best (Coffe beans are the stone of the cherry). :)

And who's Oprah Winfrey?

Cheers!

Get over it already. This story is years old. Do we have to recycle everything from 2003 episodes of The Oprah Winfrey Show?

The whole Civet Cat coffee is really old news - plus a Civet Cat is actually a marsupial, not a true cat.

I have 4 cats. I wonder if the local yokels would be intrested in a $50 cup of coffee that is flavoured by my cats. We sure have enough of the "stuff" in the litter boxes every day!
