Indonesia ISPs lift Fitna ban

p2pnet news | Freedom:- More people in Indonesia than in any other country used Google to look for Fitna, Dutch politician Geert Wilders’ anti-Koran movie, according to CNSNews.

The Indonesian government argued the film disrupts religious and social unity at a global level, but blocking the sites generated so much protest, "the providers have decided to restore access," says Radio Netherlands.

Meanwhile, Google trend-tracking software says after Indonesia, the next highest level of interest came from the Netherlands, followed by Malaysia and Denmark, says CNSNews.

The US ranked ninth.

Dutch politician Geert Wilders, leader of Holland’s Party for Freedom, "favours, among other things, the banning the Koran in Holland because, he argues, it contravenes Dutch law and is a "fascist book’."

But he’s done more than merely complain. He’s behind a 15-minute movie entitled Fitna.

It’s blacklisted by Dutch broadcasters and America’s Network Solutions is even now still, "investigating" whether or not Fitna is, " in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy Network Solutions".

But today was the day Wilders, with an Al-Qaeda death threat hanging over his head, said his film would be released and it’s now online, leading off with, "This film contains a very shocking images," living up to the promise.

It concludes with a shot of the Muhammed carton pubished by Denmark’s Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten, and which set off a fire-storm of Islamic extremist outrage which still burns fiercely.

These people are barbarians and need to be dealt with for the sake of world unity. One can say that it depends on the follower but when their holy book is saying to do such horrible acts, the possibility of misusing the religion for harm overcomes any positive aspects for it. The educated use the Koran to rile the uneducated masses of the Islam world, of the third world countries. Compare their actions to the Nazi’s if you can’t grasp the reality of which we live in. They are living in a modern society but still following the tribal rules of their past. The laws of the desert where not meant for the civilized man.

Rez: And the nazi-card for teh win already! :D
