Israel restricts Facebook for troops

p2pnet news | P2P:- “Israeli defense officials say they have identified an unlikely new threat to national security – Facebook.”
So says the Associated Press.
And that, in turn, has led to the creation of a new list of rules, “to prevent soldiers and Defense Ministry employees from revealing classified information on social networking sites,” says the story, adding:
“The officials say some soldiers have uploaded pictures of themselves with classified equipment, inadvertently revealing sensitive information.”
But Israeli soldiers can still log to on networking sites —- “as long as they do not identify themselves as soldiers or reveal any information about what they do”.
