Sony BMG cabinet re-shuffle

p2pnet news | Music:- “Legendary music executive” Clive Davis out, Barry Weiss in.
That’s how it goes as the latter ousts the former (right) as chairman and CEO of Sony BMG, a member of the Big 4 organised music gang, the others being Vivendi Universal, EMI and Warner Music.
As the Wall Street Journal puts it, “Sony BMG Music Entertainment removed Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Clive Davis - one of the record industry’s dwindling old guard - from his post overseeing its BMG Label Group and named him chief creative officer at the world’s No. 2 music company by sales.”
Weiss, “has close ties to R&B and hip-hop stars including Justin Timberlake and Usher,” says the story.
Davis isn’t entirely on the outs, however.
He’ll, “assume the newly created position of chief creative officer.,” says the Los Angeles Times.
