Mexico is an extremely tough market for foreign firms to crack into.

Although I am not yet a Skype user I hope Skype makes it here in Mexico and goes beyond service to Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey.

A little bit about my story, I retired early to Lake Chapala, Mexico 7 years ago, and checked out of the rat race forever.

Now, I live in the world’s best weather (according to National Geographic) on Lake Chapala, near Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.

I am so glad I did what I did and have not looked back.

Try Gizmo (gizmo5.com) or VoipStunt (voipstunt.com); after going through 10+ different pc-to-pc voice programs to find ones that would give good call quality, my gf (in Canada) and I (in Norway) settled on those 2. Both have pc-to-phone and call-in numbers, voipstunt have free calling to most of the world [landline] without buying credits (occasionally it tells me that I've completed my trial period, then I Sign In>As New User and 3 more months of free calls...).
