Tellme for BlackBerry

p2pnet news | Mobiles:- Microsoft’s TellMe application has taken Talk to the Hand to a whole new level.
With it, instead of typing in a request or scrolling through menus to find information, people can simply hold down the ‘talk’ button, say a keyword and see the results on the phone’s screen, say Bill and the Boyz.
It can even tell people where they are, it promises, stating:
“With Tellme on your mobile phone, you can find the nearest businesses based on your GPS location and also get maps, directions, and traffic information right on your screen.”
Says the Associated Press:
“The program only works on some of Research in Motion Ltd.’s newer BlackBerry models. Tellme, which Microsoft acquired in 2007 for $800 million, said versions for Helio, Windows Mobile and Apple Inc.’s iPhone devices are in the works.
“The Tellme program’s launch comes just weeks after Yahoo Inc. unveiled a new version of its mobile search system, oneSearch 2.0, which includes voice search and is also designed to work with certain BlackBerry models.”
