Paris Hilton wants YOU to be her friend!

p2pnet news | Celebrities:- Want to be Paris Hilton’s new best friend?

Here’s your chance.

She’s trawling the Net looking for “potential friends” for her new unreal reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF.

“Parris is looking for a new pal … and she’s got her eye on you!” – says the wafflegab on parisbff.com. “Sign up as a hopeful and you could be living a life with the posh princess herself.”

Posh princess? heh

Anyhow, “The MTV series, which begins production next month, will follow 20 contestants as they live together and vie for the chance to be Hilton’s permanent plus-one,” says the Associated Press.

Unbelievably, the site has notched up more than 6 million page [that’s 6,000,000) views since it went up five weeks ago.

“What are some of the qualities you’re looking for in a new best friend?” – AP asks her.

“Just someone who’s fun, someone who I can trust and just someone who, I don’t know, just someone to get along with that is not going to screw me over,” she says.

So, “What else is going on with you?”

“I’ve just been traveling for a while and just launched my clothing line and my shoe line,” says Hilton. “I’m just getting ready for my movie – “Repo! The Genetic Opera” is coming out soon. So I’m just getting ready for that.”

Life is tough at the top ;)

…mkay male contestants probably drop out.
and females… i wanna see that one who’s not in for the money.
I’m actually curious if its even remotely possible that she finds anyone fitting that criteria considering her reputation.

Probably 99.99999% of males would totally go for the screw and cash part.I think even gay people would go hetero just for the money.

Correction: Life is lonely at the top… and this is the proof…

Looks like MTV needs to learn how to form the possessive in English. It’s Paris’s not Paris’. Then again, who’s surprised to find that MTV fails at English?

  4. Reader's Write Says:

She vandalized the hotel in Moscow, and is now banned for life from that hotel chain, worldwide.

    Epic win!

As much as I hate all things MTV and paris hilton, the original form is correct. The possessive enclitic is often shortened to a final apostrophe in the case of singular nouns ending in -s. Styles may however differ. As long as the meaning is obvious, either forms’ grammaticality can be justified.

It could be contended that the enclitic -’s is more concise given it’s unambiguous interpretation. Of course, if you wish to eradicate all vestiges of uncertainty, then the periphrastic construction -of should be used. My preference has always been to supplant possessive enclitics with prepositional equivalents. Given that enclitics represent a progressively transformational state of a lexeme using grammaticalization, I would conclude that the perennial solution is the aforementioned prepositional phrase.

Perhaps Jon can offer his opinion given his experience in writing.

I always use s’ but as I understand it, strictly speaking, bah is right and it should be s’s.

    But who’s counting? ;)

    Cheers!

“what would you do with a B.A. in english”

  10. Alter_Fritz Says:

shit it cutted the main part:
“Asks a guy living in Avenue Q
Answer: Obviously not working for MTV”

  11. Grate Says:

What she really means is someone anyone everyone who WILL screw her over and when they’re all done, back to square 1 to start over. So many men so little time. But then there’s women and kids and dogs and horses and lamp posts and zucchinis and its a pity her neck’s not long enough but at least she has a big enough mouth

  12. Mostly Harmless Says:

“LEAVE PARIS ALONE!!!! Waaaahhh haaa haaaaa”

    (sorry)
