I disagree with Bell and Rogers completely. They are only out there to make money, and their managers make enough that they don't care about the future, they care only about how much their bonus is impacted at the end of the year. The future is here, embrace it. Don't impede it. Who are you to limit our development as a race? Who are you to stop innovation, and advancement. The internet is here, audio and video are available on the net, High Definition Video is here, this means larger files (DUH!!!). Get with the program or get out. If you want to live in the past, then go bury yourself in a dark corner somewhere. Grow up, give us the freedom to expand and advance. This should NOT be something in your control, this should be a human right, a freedom we all can share. If you think you are smarter than everyone else, then go ahead and try and stop people from file sharing. In the end, it will cost you a lot of money, it will cost the end users a lot of money because of your stupid errors in judgement, and people who want to file share will just continue on because they can always find better and faster ways to share. It's a losing battle because you are too pig headed to realize that YOU DON'T EMPLOY THE SMARTEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. There will always be someone out there smarter than the group you have. I'm sorry but this is true, but go ahead, continue on in your ridiculously stupid decisions that cost us all in the end. OR "Stop whining, Stop trying to hinder it, this is the future, EMBRACE IT"

If Bell or Rogers was tapping our phone lines shouldn't they be charged with a crime, and how in the hell can they be trusted with voip and iptv data streams if its their competition and they make millions of dollars from selling similar or same services to control it, it would be like hiring mangers who work for walmart to manage zellers. Their is a major shift in technology for phone and tv and these companies have a big portion of their infrastructure built on these models which will be irrelevant soon, soon as they build fiber network to our door which will be in a 100 years if they have their way. There is lot at risk here and I think bell and Rogers are hoping will miss it, you cannot give these companies that much control they will benefit and will suffer for it. For the people by the people, it should be government run or heavy regulated. Lets get a list going of all things at stake and send them to CRTC.
