p2pnet news | TV:- Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, has become an icon for girls as young as five or six and the images of her wrapped in a bed sheet for a Vanity Fair web presentation are causing much more than the usual amount of farce generated by this kind of thing.
Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz shot Cyrus, 15, in a slide-show of suggestive poses, including one of her draped over her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus who, according to Australia’s Herald Sun, says he didn’t approve the pictures.
Her grandmother and her teacher were left to supervise, says the story, quoting People magazine.
“Annie convinced them it was going to be artistic,” it says.”Her parents are mortified.”
There’s no question the Vanity Fair picture of Cyrus, “topless and wrapped in a bedsheet,” is a, “sexual image,” says the Ottawa Citizen, going on:
“Her hair is tousled, her lip gloss is smeared, her back is bare. She’s posed to look like she’s sitting up in bed, naked.
“Ms. Cyrus has said she’s embarrassed about the photo shoot, and she should be. She’s a 15-year-old girl who is worshipped by girls much younger than she is. Her TV show on the Disney Channel is wholesome, if vapid, entertainment for the six-to-14 market.
“Vanity Fair has cheapened her appeal and perpetuated some of the worst aspects of North American popular culture, in which girls have more value when they’re sexualized.”
Meanwhile, “”If you are Miley Cyrus you can’t really lie low,” Reuters has Us Weekly editor in chief Janice Min saying.
“This magazine is going to be on newsstands for an entire month.”

Hey who ever said that picture is sexual or trashy that’s stupid it aint even that sexual !!!! Its the person who took the picture and conviced their parents !!! So don’t be blaming miley . Miley shouldn’t be embarrsed its not her fault and hey miley that’s a cute pic yah her makeup is smeared a little. The makeup artist did that not miley . Miley didn’t say let me look trashy so she shouldn’t be sad or nervous that her fans hate her I don’t hate her !!!!!!! Her hairs probaly natural like that !! Any other regular citizen photographer would be up on charges of child pornography, but because it’s Leibovitz and she puts the ‘ART’ stamp on it that makes it okay? That shows you how twisted today’s society has become. Make an example of Leibovitz and Vanity Fair. Where’s the law in all this?

Look, I’m so sick of people trying to make this into such a HUGE deal. I think there was something screwy about the whole thing… I think everybody should just shut up blaming Miley, get the photographer for “child porn” and let it all fade away like every other scandal has and will. Remember Vannessa Hudgen’s not so long ago nude picture scandal? Right, you weren’t thinking about that, were, you, well, this will be forgotten too. I still love Miley, and I’m giving her the benifit of the doubt and it’s good that she apologized unlike people like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. She gets another chance in my book. We still love you Miley, keep your head held high and this will blow over! =)

Whoever thinks there’s something wrong with this picture needs their head read. A good psychiatrist can do wonders. Seriously, the guy IS her father. This indicates nothing more than normal family affection, morons! I guess if they were hugging, you’d be freaked out!

Most of the people who automatically point to a picture of a minor lacking some degree of clothing but otherwise not exhibiting “lewd or lascivious behavior” and shout “PEDO PEDO PEDO” have some serious sexuality, security, or mental problems themselves.
A 15-year-old girl in a picture with her breasts exposed…how is that even REMOTELY pornographic? I don’t understand you knee-jerk sexual deviants who shout PEDO every time you see even remotely exposed skin of underage persons. Nudity isn’t porn. Now, if she was posing in much the same fashion as a porn star, the line begins to be infringed upon and things get murky, but if it’s the picture I’m seeing that we are discussing here, all of you who shout “OMG FUKKEN PEDO!!!” are seriously fucked up in the head.
