Frostwire on Gentoo

p2pnet news | P2P:- We almost missed the fact FrostWire, the indie P2P file sharing program for the Gnutella and BitTorrent protocols, is now available on Gentoo Linux’s Portage package system.
Written in Java, it’s a LimeWire fork that’s available for free under the GNU General Public License.
So by way of catch-up, the Gentoo ~arch or unstable ~x86 or ~amd64 version is down to Gentoo’s William L. Thomson Jr.
Says Frostwire, “If you are a Gentoo Linux user you can now just do:
emerge frostwire
And as William says:
it will bring in all deps, compile, install, make desktop menu entries, launcher, etc

So what’s the picture all about?
“User luisdrk from Caracas,Venezuela has posted this picture on flickr,” says another post, adding:
“Pretty cool stuff. it’s actually a parody of this picture by Jesus Molina.
“It’s really funny because we had our inspiration from a similar source, we looked for the words ‘frost wire’ in flickr, and we saw frozen barbed wires, this is the one that caught our eye and then we talked to a great graphic designer who did the logo for us.”
(Cheers, Angel)
