Surrender to police, Malaysia blogger ordered

p2pnet news | Politics:- Raja Petra Kamaruddin (right), founder of Malaysia Today, has been ordered to surrender himself to police tomorrow when he’s, “expected to be charged for sedition,” says the site.
Yesterday, he was questioned over a post headlined Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell and his computers were seized.
The article implicated deputy prime minister Najib Razak and his wife in a murder, says Agency France-Presse.
“I can only speculate that I got a bit too close to the bone and this is frightening some people and they want me to back off,” the story has Raja Petra saying.
“If we try to be too safe every time, then we’d end up doing nothing.”
Najib, “denied any involvement in the high-profile murder case involving his close associate, political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda,” says AFP, adding:
“The analyst was charged with abetting the October 2006 murder of Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu, 28, whose body was blown up with explosives.
“Two police officers from the Special Action Force (UTK), whose duties include guarding Malaysia’s prime minister and deputy, are charged with the killing. A court case is ongoing.”

You see how freedom of speech can be abused. They say we need such freedom to make us happy. You may say anything, but if you trample the rights of others there will be consequences and rightly so. I don’t know anything about this story however, but if you want to say such inflammatory things, you need to be aware of the laws of the land, who you may offend, and use discretion.
You never say things like he did, even if you don’t mean it literally, or if you wish it to be taken ambiguously. Even if his accusations were true, it’s never an excuse to take the law into our own hands, and one should never assume for one minute that you are anonymous and can’t be traced.

I think what he wrote can be considered defamatory but the criminal charges against him using the Sedition’s Act shows that the Government is afraid of suing him and being forced to testify in court. Under the Sedition’s Act, he can be found guilty of inciting hate against a government official even if what he says is true.
He claims to have evidence to support his article, so let’s wait and see.

since najib had mentioned that he was not involved in the Mongolian case and he also said that ALLAH is his witness, good then, let the god be the witness and punish these cold hearted people who are worst then animals. Because I believe in this world there is still justice from GOD.
