So far the famed Bondmobile has been involved in two serious crashes, Daniel Craig, the latest actor to play double oh seven, was shaken and stirred filming action scenes, filming was delayed during riots in Panama City, and in Chile, the mayor of a rural town who apparently didn’t like the flick drove his car onto the set in protest.
Now comes news that Amy Winehouse is saying ‘No, No, No’ to recording the theme song.
It was pulled pulled by producer Mark Ronson, “due to her erractic behaviour,” says NME.
But, “Winehouse’s spokesman said the decision was taken because she had ‘other ideas’ about how the song should be developed,” says the BBC, adding:
“The pair had yet to be officially signed up to compose the theme for Quantum of Solace, while Ronson said in a recent interview that the singer had been approached to work on the project.
“He added that a demo had been produced, which ’sounds like a James Bond theme’.”
Pity. She would probably have turned out a decent tune.

You know what’s funny? I’ve only ever heard about this stupid woman in the news. I’ve never once heard a single note sung by her. Does that mean she’s all publicity and no talent? That’s where my money is.

Im so glad she isnt doing the theme song. She is a total wreck. She doesnt need more money or more press to help fuel her habits. She needs to get into a good rehab program for 6 months.
I dont know what people see in her music. Its horrible. Its worse then William Hung. I think Hanna Montana should do the theme. She needs some good press lol.

I’m with Jon. I find it necessary to separate Art from the artist in many cases (to a point anyway). We are talking about someone who has serious substance abuse problems, not a murderer. If you have not heard her music you either did not know it was her or have been living under a rock. Ever hear a HIT song called “Rehab”? That’s her. Ironic, I know… But a solid piece of work. As Jon said, “messed up she may be”, but this woman has SOUL.
