Pownce boosts file size limit

p2pnet news | Products:- When DIGG’ Kevin Rose —- who says he’s a “31-year-old gentleman from San Francisco” who “likes to climb rocks” — launched Pownce, he described as a one-stop social network, chat and file transfer network.
“We send stuff to our friends,” says the site. “You can send just about anything: music, photos, messages, links, events, and more.”
Um, we can do that already. It’s called the Net
Ayway, now, “we’ve increased the base file size limit for all Powncers from 10MB to 100MB!” - it declares.
Not only but also, “We also provided more control over who can download audio files that you share with the public. You can access these new settings by going to your settings when logged in to your account.”
In p2pnet’s first Pownce post, we asked, “Is it free?” - going on:
“Yes. No. Well, if you agree having to look at advertisements equals ‘free,’ then it’s free. Otherwise …”
The basic client is free and $20 buys you a PRO version which increases file upload limits and makes the ads the ad folks have paid for go away.

Wow, this is great. I’ve had to use file splitters to email friends data before, being able to send 100MB is a big step in the right direction.
Beats the hell out of being forced to mail CDs.
