Entertainment cartels want new Danish law

p2pnet news | Freedom:- In Sweden, when the entertainment cartels, say jump, government ministers ask, How High?

Now Hollywood and the Big 4 record labels appear to have penetrated another Scandiavian bastion —- Denmark’s parliament.

At the moment, there, when the major movie and /or music companies want a site closed, they have to followed due processs. In other words, the ISPs concerned have to be forced to block a given site through court actions.

However, they seem to have found their way past normal procedure.

A proposal before the Danish government, “seems to create a tribunal to handle these cases,” says TorrentFreak, going on:

“This tribunal will apparently consist of members appointed by government ministers, who will then rule on blocks with no judicial oversight.

“Any sites blocked would have to go through the courts to appeal and the site would remain blocked unless and until successful.”

There’s also talk of a secretariat being created to handle ’simple’ cases so the tribunal wouldn’t even have to hear most of cases, says the story, adding complaints would be put to the tribunal by copyright holders and, “As with the court cases … it’s extremely unlikely that the accused site will be invited or even made aware of any such proceedings, and allowed to state their case.”

  1. Reader's Write Says:

    Coruption corruption!

You know the problem with these parasites is that with no justice there is no peace and eventually they might get a lot more than they bargain for with that. If they were to succeed with the destruction of our justice system for their one personal gain there is no telling what will hapen to them. Personally I don’t think this is worth it but stupidity go with nasty so!

In nature unevolved parasites that cause too much damage get wiped out.

Only those that manage to evolve toward symbiosis survive. It is almost certain that the curent entertainement cartel will follow the dinosaurs toward extinction. But I suppose that they don’t believe in evolution! Too bad for them!
