Diagnosis in 1991 means that he had already 17 years to live with this devasting disease. Despite all research this is still a horrifying illness. True is (like always) – if you don´t suffer you hardly care. But finally it is a very good thing that people get active. Parkinson is definetly limiting value of life, not only for the patient but also for the relatives.

Isn’t it strange when people seem to find something negative to say, especially when something positive is happening? Like the person who posted the above?
I don’t think that is human nature though. I think it is just some people’s nature.

Anyone notice that most of these celebrities only get involved in fund raising when they are struck down with these illnesses? Do you think Michael would bat an eyelid for parkinsons research if he hadn’t contracted it himself? Like with most things, people only care about things that concern them; myopic selfishness. Then everyone lauds him for it, lol.

Yes, it’s a terrible affliction, but this is the truth, people are inherently self serving; to deny this is to deny our very nature.
