Japan robo-girl for ‘lonely adult men’

p2pnet news | Cool Stuff:- “She is big-busted, petite, very friendly, and she runs on batteries.”

Huh?

Nope, it’s no joke.

Japan’s Sega is peddling a 38 cm (15″) tall robo-girlfriend who, “”kisses on command,” says Reuters.

She’s slated to go on sale in September for around $175, “with a target market of lonely adult men,” says the story.

But according to a YouTube video, she’s from WowWee and as FemiSapien, she’s actually a female companion for RoboSapien 1, says the company’s Michael Limber.

YouTube shows her in a ‘dance demo’ mode, which’d be better described as dance lurch.

She also has an ‘affectionate’ mode in which she’ll give the happy owner a kiss, complete with weird robotic sound effects which sound a little like silenced pistol shots.

Could that be RoboKid, the progeny of the happy robo-couple, bottom right?

Limber doesn’t say. ;)
