Young Jeezy nailed for drunken driving

p2pnet news | Music:- Another artist has joined the long and growing stream of mainstream music stars arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.
This time it’s US rapper Jay Jenkins, aka Young Jeezy.
Stopped in Atlanta, he’s also charged with speeding, reckless driving, no tags, driving with an open container and no proof of insurance, says MTV.
“According to police, Jeezy was stopped along Atlanta’s Buford Highway, near route I-85, for speeding. Police then noticed his car was missing its license plates. After that, “Everything just went from there,” police spokesperson Officer James Polite said.
Police says Jeezy was behind the wheel of a white Corvette, says E! Online, adding he was to perform at Hot 107.9’s annual Birthday Bash, “an all-star concert that also featured Kanye West and Usher”.
He was arrested for disorderly conduct at a strip club in 2007, says the story, continuing, “A year earlier, he managed to avoid potentially serious charges after Miami prosecutors couldn’t find enough evidence to charge him following an arrest in a shooting incident.”
Jeezy, 31, out on bail, is slated to appear in court on July 17.
“According to the Atlanta alternative newsweekly Creative Loafing, Ralph ‘Ralphie’ Simms, who was indicted last year in a related federal drug case in Los Angeles, name-dropped Jeezy during testimony offered last week in Black Mafia Family member Fleming ‘Ill’ Daniels’ federal cocaine-conspiracy trial,” says MTV, adding:
“At one point during his testimony, Simms told the court that Jeezy —- whose nickname is the Snowman —- was on the receiving end of multiple kilos of cocaine from the Black Mafia Family, a drug gang accused of moving hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of the drug across the country.”
