That’s Billy Ray Cyrus in a much belated reaction to the on- and offline media whirlwind which following his daughter, Miley’s,  semi-clad appearance in a US magazine.

He, “didn’t know they (were) gonna strip her down and wrap her with a blanket,” he says, according to CNN.

In case you missed it all, “15-year-old Disney TV money machine Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, did a photo shoot for Vanity Fair,” p2pnet posted at the time.

“She was wrapped only in a bed sheet and her dad, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, claims he didn’t know that’s what celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz was up to.”

Miley was also photographed draped over her father.

Now Billy Ray says he wasn’t there when Leibovitz took the shots and that he was “surprised” when he saw them, he said on NBC’s Today, says CNN, which also has him saying Miley’s publicist was there and, “everyone seemed in control”.

“I was surprised when I saw it, you know, but … stuff happens,” he’s quoted as stating.

“That’s life.”
