‘Music should be shared’ — Joss Stone

p2pnet news Music:- | P2P:- English soul and R&B singer-songwriter Joss Stone thinks sharing music online is “brilliant”.
In an interview after a show in Argentina, she said she loves music, but hates the the music industry.
Most artists are, she declared, “brainwashed by the industry” and, “encouraged people to share her music,” says TorrentFreak, quoting Internet.
“After the show a reporter asked her what she thinks of piracy, and people who download her songs,” says the story, and, “Her response baffled the reporter,” it states, going on she told him >>>
Yeah, I love it. I think it’s brilliant and I’ll tell you why.
Music should be shared.
The only part about music that I dislike is the business that is attached to it.
Now, if music is free, then there is no business, there is just music. So, I like it, I think that we should share.
It’s ok, if one person buys it, it’s totally cool, burn it up, share it with your friends, I don’t care. I don’t care how you hear it as long as you hear it.
As long as people go to her shows, “have a great time listening to the live show it’s totally cool,” she declared, adding:
“I don’t mind. I’m happy that they hear it.”

Love her and her attitude. She makes good money anyway from touring, but cares about the music and others enjoying it. While this would be a good ploy to curry favour with music lovers, I must take her as sincere. She’s the first I know of to voice such sentiments, and her music really is available through bit torrent. Altho I’d never heard of her, because of this I am aware of her and downloaded her music. Because of her attitude and because I like her music and style, I will also buy her CDs when I can if the price is not too high. I’d even send her a donation. I must wonder however, why artists continue to patronize big labels if they hate them and only get ripped off?? Could anyone tell me?
