First of all, I very much doubt "everyone and his dog" will be allowed to own a handgun. My guess is they will replace the handgun ban with a strict licensing system. And yes Rick, it really is not unreasonable that in a scumpit like D.C., some people would like to own a handgun to protect themselves. "If somebody breaks into your house - Shoot them!" This is typical idiotic thinking where if someone is violent enough to break into a house when they know people are there the residents are not allowed to protect themselves, but are supposed to submit themselves to the "mercy" of the housebreaker, or try to sneak out of their own home and hope they don't get caught by the thug who broke in. Sorry Rick, I never agreed with that mentality. You are woefully ignorant and it shows. Just being allowed to own a gun does not automatically give you the right to shoot anyone you don't like, if you shoot someone for "running over your bushes" you are looking at serious jail time.
