p2pnet news | Crime:- A 23-year-old man from Mississauga, just outside Toronto, has been charged with internet luring after he tried to set up meetings with three teenage girls via Facebook, says Mississauga.com.

“Peel Regional Police say a man posed online as a female, using a fictitious name, and repeatedly tried to convince the victims, aged 14 and 15, to meet for a sexual purpose,” says the story,

On June 20, “the suspect made arrangements to meet one of the victims at a local school,” says the Toronto Star, adding:

“The girl became suspicious and decided not to go. Instead, she called police and an investigation ensued.

“Joseph Lee Whitehouse, 24, of Mississauga, was arrested in his home on Tuesday. He has been charged with three counts of luring a child. He appeared in court yesterday.”

The Internet Child Exploitation Unit continues to investigate, says the story adding:

“Anyone who believes they may have had contact with the suspect is urged to call the unit at 905-453-2121 x3490. Anonymous tips can also be made to Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).”
