I have been spouting my little riff every time I see an ISP plan and/or some upcoming idea for video on the Net. ISP's are moving to a Pay-as-you-go scheme. I received numerous "shut the fuck up" statements saying how stupid I was and how that would NEVER happen in the US or in Canada.

Well its happening. Capping bandwidth is coming and its coming w/ a vengince, w/ all the bad economic data flowing out (gas, fuel, oil, food, etc...) this is just one more bullet...

How can one pay for everything and then be told to pay for ones data? What is going to give? Down here in the South of Texas, ppl have cut everything that they can and its only July! My AC was $400.00 (US) for the month of June, I drive a van (1998) to work everyday, and its costing roughly $40-$50 at the pump each time to fill it. I'm only filling 1/2 way. Now I run my AC, but I religiously keep it set to 80 degrees, so don't go thinking that I'm just sitting in a nice cool ac chilled house... I'm not..

Well I can tell you that w/ all of the above that is happening in the world, the ABSOLUTE last thing on my mind is PAYING for bandwidth in a capped environment. If one has the option, tell their ISP to NEVER CAP and if they do, you'll switch (again only if you have the capability to do so)...

Keep protesting and fight the good fight!
