Mininova remote downloads

p2pnet news | P2P:- If you’re at work and see the latest album of your favorite featured artist, just hit Mininova’s new ‘Add to bookmarks’ button and the torrent will be added to your bookmarks and personal feed, “and within a few minutes your BitTorrent client at home will refresh the feed and notice the new torrent”.
Not only but also, “Your client will then start downloading the torrent in the background, so when you come home you can listen to the album right away,” promise the Mininova folks.
“No need for WebUI’s, port forwarding, and exposing local computers in your home network.”
Or put another way, from now on, logged-in users can bookmark, and activate, their favorite torrents —-
—- without having to do a thing.
It, “seems nice but for me it’s useless,” postss -The Queef-, going on:
“Maybe I’m getting old but what is the point of remote downloading, starting a download from my workplace ? My boss is going to break my leggs if I try that.My work PC is checked for non-work related stuff just like this.
“Don’t you need to have a running PC when you start a remote download or can you also turn your system on?? Doubtfull IMO.
“Anyway, It’s nice to see you’ll improving the site and/or the features but I think I’ll let this one go.”
But, “you are not getting it,” Niek points out.
“You would only go to the mininova site at work —- all downloading/rss feed reading will be done by your home machine, all you do at work is log in.”

I have good reason to bitch about my minions wasting most of the day.

Remember, naughty employees, to flush your temp and history folders and to delete copies of
stray emails, otherwise you may end up being forced to look for another job. Most people think
their employers are too dumb to check this kind of stuff, lol. Slacking off is a
sackable offense in every country. Any future falling out, failure or disagreement at work and your
employer has another good reason to let you go.
