I agree mostly with Monkey D. Luffy. Although the wife did get “about $380,000 that he had stashed in his girlfriend’s bank account over three years, and purchases totaling $418,000 from a company that sells gold, platinum, palladium and silver coins.”, meaning that she did not go to jail for benefiting from the money. By killing the wife, kids, and himself, the ill-gotten money can’t be inherited by anyone, and instead goes to the National Treasury.

To Sad—-> Cheer up when reading the story. After all, think of what happened as Darwinism! The “Spam King” and anyone who could’ve inherited the “spammer gene” (if one exists) are all dead. Cheers!

I do feel bad for the wife and daughter, but have no sympathy for the spammer, the fact that he killed his family rather than just killing himself just illustrates what an incredible douche bag and asshole he was. And no, Readers Write, would NOT “turn around and break into someones PC” your implication than anyone glad over some scum bag spammers death is a wanna be hacker makes absolutely no sense what so ever. I’m glad that asshole is dead(again, it’s sad that he was such a douche he had to take his family with him, but that only gains HIM revilement, not sympathy), just like I was glad when that Russian spammer got killed, the world is LOADED with assholes and when they die it is a GOOD thing, not a cause for remorse. Save the sadness for the people they effected in a negative manner.

I bet more than half the people jumping up and shouting hooray at this….would turn around and break into your pc in a heartbeat and steal anything of importance…..ie…bank account info…etc….and rob us all blind…..

It is really hard to not be a misanthrope these days, especially when reading stories such as this one. I do have compassion and am far from hateful. I’m even hopeful that mankind will find it’s way some day without completely destroying itself and all other life on this little blue gem we live upon, but as for right now it is very hard to feel any hope, faith, or trust in humanity. We think we are so advanced, so highly evolved above everything else, but the reality is that we are still a bunch of barbaric animals, scared of our own shadows. Everybody refuses to take responsibility for their own actions, blaming everything under the sun in order to excuse all the horrible things we do to one another, and worst of all continually pass on these bad habits to our children. Misery begets misery, as the only way for most folks to be happy is if everyone else is as miserable as they are. It is a never ending cycle and I sometimes wonder if the only way for things to truly change is if humanity finally does nearly wipe itself out, clearly the path we are currently (and unavoidably) on. A clean slate as it were, a chance to start over and get it right. If we can’t ever get it right then perhaps we really do not deserve to exist. So while I may indeed be a misanthrope, it is still my sincerest hope that humanity manages to survive long enough to evolve beyond all our tendencies towards the barbarism, hate and mistrust we’re all born with and learn from our elders as we grow up, and that a new golden age of enlightenment will open up from doing so. Wishful thinking? Perhaps. Only time will tell. Like my mother was fond of saying, you make your bed, you lie in it (ie: all actions have consequences, so think hard before you act).
