Since most ISP's drag their heels and like to pocket the majority of their profits rather than reinvest into their current networks where it is sorely needed, most of us will have long been dead by the time humanity actually sees anything remotely like Internet x.0 benefiting the public at large. If it ever does arrive, I strongly suspect it will be horribly fettered and completely lack any privacy whatsoever thanks in large part to the involvement of organizations such as the RIAA and MPAA, groups whom I guarantee have only their own interests in mind regardless of anything they may say to the contrary. Make me want to cry.
