P2P has so far been “linked” to child pornography, Nazi music, organized crime, and now international terrorists. I am just waiting for the stories blaming P2P for contributing to alcoholism, drug addiction, domestic violence, and every other evil in society.

I believe the IP owners pose a greater risk to the average person than terrorisim ever will.

The terrorists just kill you. End of story. Sure its bad. but its not prolonged.

The riaa/mpaa/bsa/ect will take away all your money, force you into poverty, put you in jail, get you kicked out of school or loose your job, and cause problems within your family and friends and generally ruin your life completely.

Death might be worse. But the duration of unplesantness is much shorter.

Not just domestic. They terrorize people everywhere and they get awy with it. People who don’t understand that they’re just like all bullies. If you stood up to them, Hey! They’d be gone!

…from the sale of media (video or audio) is the RIAA and MPAA, they’ve been employing domestic terrorism for years, however only recently have their tactics begun to resemble real-world terrorism. You could argue that racketeering, levying threats, special police forces, deceit, deliberate mis-information and a multitude of other strong-arm tactics to acheive their desired ends mirrors the definition of terrorism that they are bantying about? Not to mention the hostage like environment they keep their artists in.

After-all, isn’t the act of ‘bullying’ – be it through manipulation of the legal system (utilizing heavy-handed and unfair practices) or threatening to plant bombs share the same underlying principles when used to coerce individuals to adhere to an isolated (non-majority supported) way of doing things?
