“We feel like we’ve been led down the garden path, and our interest in working in partnership and leading our mission as educators is now being used against us,” said Tracy Mitrano, director of IT policy at Cornell University."

Nativity comes to mind; but that would be stating the obvious. If you make a deal with the devil, don't expect him to honor it. And lots of other platitudinal maxims appropriately expressing their foolishness.

The fact is, the universities should have been protecting the students from the start; and by siding with the RIAA and its henchmen, they have proven where their loyalties lie; that is, with the fascist governments and extremists of capitalism.

yes, they burn their bridges well!
What else business thinks it is good to allienate your customers with extortianate money demands and lawsuits?
I know none that has doen so and is still in the business on its own.

BUT the problem with this suicidal terrorists in the recorded music distribution industry is, that while they are burning every bridge they have from their land of ignorant technophobe backwards thinking fools, they have all the money to hire politicos that make sure the burned bridges will still bring money in by having those payed politicos filling in the gap of destroyed customer relation with laws that make sure those terrorists will get money even if noone is willing to be their customer on their own free will.
Remember levies on blank media and all the shit they have proposed jsut to make sure those terrorist get funding even if noone is willing to buy their shit anymore.
No, waiting is no longer an option. The labels have gone rabbit it's time to put those in charge of those labels and the politicos that work for them instead for the "betterment of society at large" to rest!

The RIAA is a bunch of crazy fools. But honestly, could we ask for better enimies? They just love to burn their bridges. No one needs to destroy the RIAA, they're doing a great job of it themselves.

You don't negotiate with terrorists. You kill them. Those that don't understand this get burned in
despite the warning they received.

Fortunatly some others are working on the killing part right now.

see, that is what you get when you try to reason or cooperate with the MAFIAA terrorists!

I don't feel pity for the universities that the terrorists are now using their prior cooperation against them.

You don't negotiate with MAFIAA terrorists! You put a bullet into their bowl which is supposed to held the brain in other humans at least.
