Online ticketing blunder puts thousands at risk – ABC news
Privacy groups say thousands of people could be targeted by online fraudsters because of a mistake by an online ticketing agency. Ticketek inadvertently sent an advertising email to its customers which contained thousands of other private email addresses. It was supposed to be an email promoting an upcoming tour by American band The Dandy Warhols.

Bullies who use text messages or the Internet to pick on their fellow students can be suspended or expelled under a bill that is close to passing the state Legislature. The measure by Assemblyman Ted Lieu, a Democrat from Torrance, passed the Senate Monday on a 21-11 vote. It goes back to the Assembly for consideration of Senate amendments and will be sent to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger if passed.

Tropic Thunder” is stirring up plenty of stormy weather among groups representing the mentally disabled. The new comedy, which stars Hollywood heavyweights Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey, Jr., has caused protests and outrage over its liberal use of a derogatory term used to describe those with mental disabilities. Dozens of groups, including the Special Olympics and the American Association of People with Disabilities, protested the film’s premiere on Monday at the Mann’s Bruin Theatre in Los Angeles.
