Online the Beijing Olympics sex tapes have surfaced.

“French Olympic swimmer Laure Manaudou is fighting to concentrate on swimming with nude photos and a sex-tape circulating the Internet,” says Tabloid Edition, going on »»»

The photos and tape appeared on the Internet hours after she broke up with fellow swimmer Luca Marin, who denies any involvement.

Rubbing salt into her wounds is Marin’s new girl-friend, Italian swimmer Federica Pellegrini who beat Manaudou’s 200m freestyle world record earlier this week.

Laure Manaudou is scheduled to compete in th 200m backstroke and the 4×100m medley, but left the pool in tears on Tuesday, saying she didn’t have the desire to win.

“This month her relationship with Italian swimmer Luca Marin came to an end after a very public row and now her ex-boyfriend has been accused of posting naked photos and a video of her on the Internet,” says Welte, adding:

“The former champion cannot find solace in the water or on land. After two disappointing defeats in two days, Manaudou says, ‘I’m asking myself if it’s worth continuing. I don’t even have the desire to swim anymore.’

“It is difficult enough to rebound after finishing last. The scandalous photo incident is a further additional burden and demotivating factor for the young Olympian during this important period in her swimming career.

“‘ She needs to be strong, to be tough, but I know that she is,’ France’s secretary of state for sports told Euope 1 radio.”
