Nude Daniel Radcliffe delays new HP flick
p2pnet news view | Movies:- “EW [Entertainment Weekly] and Warner Bros share a parent company, but they clearly do not share, you know, important friggin’ information.”
What’s that you say?
It seems Warner has moved the latest Harry Potter flick, which was supposed to have made its appearance in November, has been re-scheduled.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Wednesday will instead be shown in July next year, says EW.com.
Except, apparently, no one bothered to tell EW, which proudly carries Potter on the cover.
And so does Britain’s Empire magazine.
“Harry looks appropriately battered, just like his dazed fans across the globe,” says the Los Angeles Times.
“The text on the cover blares that the issue is devoted to ‘45 New Movies You Need to Know About Right Now!’ Well, make that 44 movies on the urgent, need-to-know list …………..”
EW and Warner are both owned by Time Warner.
Oh. OK. But hang on.
Why the switch?
Well, “The release of ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ has reportedly been delayed due to its star Daniel Radcliffe appearing naked on the Broadway play, ‘Equus’,” says Economic Times of India, continuing »»»
Movie bosses at Warner Bros. do not want such an image to be associated with bespectacled Harry, who remains chaste and virginal, reports Fox News.
Warner Bros. hopes that by the time ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ debuts, “Equus” will either have concluded its run or Radcliffe will have completed his contract.
EW and Warner are both owned by Time Warner.

The key words here are ’share’ and ‘not’
The irony.

“Economic Times of India”? They sound like an authority on this subject.
I would say that the much more likely explanation for the films move is the one that the studio has been saying all along. They are seeing dollar signs at the prospect of this film opening in the summer with little competition, on the same weekend the “The Dark Knight” opened this year.

He has been doing that play for over a year. That isnt news. They’ve moved the release date to the date The Dark Knight opened just to get more money. Which I cant see how cause the same number of people are gonna see it in November compared to July. The thing is they risk the release of it early on the net. THey better locked up those reals real secure.
I bet they plan to release it in July and make millions then release the dvd before chistmas to make even more. The fans really need to email and write who ever is in charge of making those decisions and get it moved back up.
