I guess that’s the way it was expected to go – since they prey on women, children, students (except Harvard students), and anyone who is unlikely to be able to hire a lawyer.

It is about time that the RIAA’s campaign of terror was questioned. Too many innocent victims have fallen due to their shoot first and never ask questions policy. I must state clearly here that I AM NOT DEFENDING FILE SHARING. But the RIAA is using shady tactics to persue people with information that may not be accurate. If you don’t believe me, just see the University of Washington study (http://dmca.cs.washington.edu/) were they tricked them into sending DMCA take down orders to innocent computers under their own control and even to a local printer (obviously a false positive).

it is a victory because it sets a precedent, i am really happy for her and i hope that she wins the case. i hope that they can get rico claims reinstated because i think they are certainly valid and that the riaa are forced to stop their legal campaign of terror.
