Lincoln’s RIM black-out: ad screw-up

p2pnet news view | Advertising:- Unless you really do believe any publicity is good publicity, America’s ‘all-new 2009 Lincoln MKS’ has found a great way to turn people off.

We were checking out online reports for p2pnet stories when he landed on The National Post’s FT trading desk to see what it had to say about Research In Motion’s progress, RIM being the maker of Canada’s massively successful Blackberry.

On the right is what we saw bang smack in the middle of the intro.

The pic is a facsimile, but it’s in an exact one.

We didn’t time how long the Lincoln black-out lasted, but it was long enough for us to abandon our efforts to read the piece.

Way to go, Ford.

Bad luck, RIM.

Wonder whose terrific idea that was?
