The point here is why going after the weakest?

I’m against this because they should go after the person WHO LEAKED the song not after THE ONE WHO POSTED IT.

Perhaps a fine would be right and period. Go after who obtained the song and gave it to this guy, but a complete Federal agency against a poor blogger?, … c’mon!!!!

@ Readers Write : You speak like you are certain the album is finished and its being held by the record company. I think the album should be released when its ready, I mean when the artists think its ready. As much as I don’t give a damn about GnR (and especially Axl). I have heard so many bootlegs of unfinished album that sounded so much like crap that I prefer waiting for the real finished one. The RIAA has nothing to do with this one.

But hey, if you prefer downloading badly-mixed/non-mastered/unfinished records, go ahead!!

The McAfee thing is BS. Its because of the programs that are advertised in the ads. There are nothing wrong with any of the ads on the site. Never had a problem and Im on this site several times a day every day.

Axl just needs to release the cd already. Or just let people trade recordings of the songs free on the net like some bands are doing.

And yet, if they just went ahead and released the damn album already, this wouldn’t be an issue. It’s not just about money; people are sick of accessing music on the Big 4’s terms. Why wait god-knows-how-long for the official release date, when they could just as easily release it now? If they’re not going to provide it, we’ll provide it ourselves.
