Oasis’ Noel Gallagher in hospital after attack
p2pnet news view | Music:- Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher had to be taken to hospital after a fan attacked him on stage during a performance in Toronto, Canada.
“A 47-year-old Pickering man faces one count of assault after the British rock band Oasis was attacked during a performance at the Virgin Mobile Festival late Sunday on Toronto Island,” says the Canwest News Service.
Police Daniel Sullivan, “somehow made it on to the stage either from the crowd or from the stage sidelines around 10 p.m.,” says the story.
“Within seconds security jumped to restrain the flailing meathead before leading him offstage and away from the victim’s enraged brother, Liam, who tried to get in on the action with at least one stunted fist swing of his own,” says Sun Media.
“The out-of-nowhere assault stunned the thousands of fans taking in the Manchester band’s performance of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? during their headliner set at the third annual two-day concert at Toronto Islands Park.”
A band statement said Gallagher, “fell heavily on to his monitor speakers,” says the BBC, adding:
” He may have fractured a rib and sustained ligament damage, it added.
The band are due to play in London, Ontario, later.
No decision has been made about whether the gig will go ahead. Fans are being urged to check the Oasis website for information.

I saw them in Montreal. They played ok.
But I never been to a concert before where no band member moves.
Its like these guys has an X marked on the stage so they know where to stand and then they crazy-glue their feet to it.
Can’t say I’ve been to a concert before where no one moves. They may as well have been all sitting down on a chair.
