Using "cool" and "funny" names like "Hollydud" and "Spewmacher" helps make your opinion attractive!

Seriously, why would somebody watch The Dark Knight? I'll tell you why--because it was good. Didn't like it? Tough luck--I did. You might not like it, but that doesn't really matter.

I watched Batman Begins when it was on cable. I hated it. My friend once called Christian Bale "wooden", personally, I think he makes a cigar store indian look lively by comparison. I'll take the first two Michael Keaton Batman films over Bale's any day. Only the first two though, Joel Spewmacher ruined the third and fourth ones.

Remakes of remakes are now what is classed as Hollydud fare. This is what is termed "entertainment"? I didn't go see this, didn't even want to download it for free. That's how much interest it sparked for me. It is beyond me how in the world they got anyone to bite for the ticket price to go see it. Only thing I can think of to cause that is fanboyism.

The remake market is like the cover market for music. It smacks to me of industries and artists totally devoid of creation juices. How long can you live on the heyday of the past? Because one artist lays in a short one or two line speel, not in the original, is not justification to me to buy a cover nor to go see the umpteenth remake of an old movie.

It's like real artists don't exist anymore in the majors. I am sure that computer projections and predictions have a lot to do with what goes out onto the market shelves but I got to tell you, it's more of the same old same old and has no smack of originality to it. It's humdrum, ho-hum, and about as boring as it gets. I can't even get up excitement for this sort of serial replay.

I keep wondering when the real artists are going to stand up and start making something. Back in the days of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and others of their era, you heard concept albums, new music, new themes, and new expressions all the time. Now a days it seems the theme is copy that old method as there seems to be no spark of originality coming out of Hollydud.
