McMySpace — opening soon
p2pnet news view | Advertising:- MySpace Music will soon be graced with the sign of the flying buttocks.
And Toyota.
And State Farm Insurance.
The latest corporate attempt to cash in on the online music scene comes from Australian billionaire Rupert Murdoch’s MySpace and, “three out of the four largest music labels,” says CNET News, going on, “Advertising will be a major component for the new start-up, MySpace executives said.”
Like, what else could MySpace Music before?
The “recording industry” has to, “hope MySpace, with its 120 million worldwide users, is in a unique position to market music to a mass audience like no other Apple rival,” according to this story.
Meanwhile, in the real world of online music, more and more sites set up by musicians themselves and entrepreneurs with independent mind sets are appearing almost on an hourly basis.
No need to stay tuned.
