IMDb is a horribly run forum site, period. Not only is there no decent moderation (actually, from what I've seen, there's no moderation whatsoever, despite their claims), but I have a strong suspicion that some of the members of the so-called 'administrative' staff are trolling on the site themselves, as well as stalking, flaming, and disabling the accounts of users who get on their wrong side. The cyber-bullying on there is incredible; one of these days I feel certain they're going to have an incident spill over out of the forums and into real life. It'll be interesting to see how a lawsuit plays out should that ever become the case, since I don't think IMDb's credibility would hold up any too well, considering the thousands (and I mean literally thousands) of times they've received complaints from users desperate to try and get *someone* there to acknowledge and address the troll problems. Should they ever wind up in court, I also wonder just how long it would be before Amazon.com decided it would be a prudent move to divest themselves of this trainwreck of a site.

Be careful about implying that Amazon owns the IMDb. As I was told in no uncertain terms, the IMDb is a completely separate company that Amazon basically has nothing to do with. They told me this after I complained to Amazon over the fact that the dictators running the IMDb banned me from the message boards for nothing more than critisizing their policy of refusing to issue warnings to people who break the rules, refusing to explain why a message or user was deleted and refusing to ever reconsider such actions under any circumstances. I'd never broken the rules in any way, but some staff member decided to ban me over the comments I made. Of course I have to guess at the reason, since nobody on the IMDb staff will tell you anything and the clause in the site's terms about arbitration of disputes is a bald-faced lie. (NOW it mentions monetary disputes, at the time it said ANY disputes)

The IMDb is run by a bunch of petty dictators who ban people on a whim, with no absolutely no oversight or recourse for people who have been unfairly banned. When told about this, Amazon basicallt told me that they couldn't do a thing about it as they have no control over the IMDb whatsoever. I have no idea why the IMDb claims to be an "Amazon.com company", since Amazon clearly has no influence over them.

You can easily get around that by using a software like Anonymizer. Their server are in the US so it make it look like you are surfing from the US.

All that they have done is take hulu videos and show them on their site instead of hulu.com. And the reason its US only is because the advertisers are only paying when American people watch the commercials.
