Ex-Sony Canada boss now CBC exec
p2pnet news view | Radio:- A woman who once ran Sony Music Canada is now in charge of CBC Radio’s English-language services.
Married to singer and broadcaster Murray McLauchlan, Denise Donlon replaces Jennifer McGuire, who stepped down in May, says the CBC.
“Denise is without question one of the broadcasting industry’s most talented and dynamic organizational leaders,” Richard Stursberg, executive vice- president of CBC English Services, said in a statement.
Donlon, 52, was born in Toronto and began working as a host and producer at MuchMusic in 1985 and was president of Sony from 2000 to 2004, says the story.
Sony BMG is a member of the Big 4 corporate music cartel who are using their various so-called trade organisation such as the CRIA (Canadian Recording Industry Association of America) to try to gain exclusive control how and by whom music is distributed online.

Before we get into the standard “She Ran SONY, She’s Just Another Corporate RIAA Whore” talk, does anyone have any specific examples of Denise Donlon herself being even remotely involved in any “anti-consumer” activity?

OH and if you were say a member of the SS of hitler and carried out murder and executions, would you have to actually done anyo of it to be associated to the stigma? Even if you didnt murder torture and kill? Answer is YES. It is calle dguilt by association.
If she works for a company that uses the pupet CRIA ( also run by a loud mouthe dyankie doodle dandy ) Then she is and has been and will continue to push the Agenda of the EVIL ONES.
YES EVIL
Take a decent topic of copyright.
HOW much wealth does it require to have a copyright of 95 years int he USA ? does that benefit society at all or just hte big label that buys off hte rights?
HOw about 50 years? Like her ein Canada? It owuld be an intersting experiment to have it at ten years. THEN LAZY BAD ARTISTS EITHER MAKE MONEY INVEST WHAT THEY MAKE OR GET BENT AND GO WORK AT TIM HORTONS.

and if labels had to invest in bands that could keep making good music then they might choose better and in fact we all wold get better quality tunage. This applies to TV, movies , games, and other goods.

@ chronoss:
So…
I guess the answer to my question (so far) is “No!”, since all you’ve done so far is spew hot, foaming nothing.
You haven’t provided anything attributable to her. (And, the “rootkit” debacle happened before she took over SONY.)
If anything, her moving away from that company after only 4 years might be a sign that she DIDN’T approved of its agenda.
And…
What’s up with your reference to CTV?? All that’s on the bottom of their site is a collection of logos, ALL belonging to CTV Globemedia - whch is who they are. (Are ya feelin’ OK?!?)
