‘Save Katie, Keep Tom’ Scientology protest
p2pnet news view Freedom | P2P:- The cult of Scientology and famous deceased American playwright Arthur Miller have met, head-on.
Actress Katie Holmes is, as the world knows, married to Scientology spokesman and actor Tom ‘CoS’ Cruise.
When Miller’s All My Sons, starring Holmes, opened at the Gerald Schoenfield Theatre in New York, protesters, some wearing the now famous Anonymous masks, picketed outside.
Back in 2005, she said she was, ‘”embracing the tenets of Scientology, the cult founded by Sci-Fi writer L. Ron Hubbard and practised by Cruise, said People Magazine, going on:
“The statement goes one step further than her announcement last week, when Holmes told TV’s Access Hollywood that when it comes to Scientology, she has looked into it ‘and I really like it. … I feel like I’m bettering myself’.”
More than two dozen protesters from Anonymous, donned V for Vendetta-style masks and wielded signs that read ‘SCIENTOLOGY KILLS’ and ‘FREE KATIE’,” says E! Online.

Repeatedly, spokespersons for the masked terrorist organization “Anonymous” have promised that they weren’t out to ruin the lives of individual Scientologists.
And yet, now they have announced their intent to disrupt Katie Holmes’ Broadway debut in All My Sons by protesting that a Scientologist should be allowed to take part in a Broadway show. These hateful psychotics have made it clearer than ever now that they hold anyone who is a Scientologist (or just married to one) to be “fair game” for destruction. Funny how the people who rant the most about “fair game” are the ones who are actually practicing it against innocent citizens.
Are we going to allow this gang of thugs to continue to harass innocent people over their religious beliefs? Can we allow people to have their safety jeopardized and careers ruined simply because they choose to believe in Scientology?

And no one protests christianity or islam? How many millions have died in the name of those?
It’s quite absurdly arbitrary to attack only scientology. One of these jump on the bandwagon for the mass deluded I presume.
It’s hilarious that no one dares criticise Christianity for fear of reproach, yet scientology is fair game for all. Just leave them in peace already; this deriding and protestation is the zenith of tedium.

I was inside the Barricade with this great group of kids. It was my first time protesting anything I thought was wrong. I am an Atheist. I may not be able to do anything about 2000 years of established belief, but if I can help educate people about what I think is avoidable harmful nonsense, I shall do so. Space Emperor Xenu? Thetans? Please! The assertions by Scientologist commentators in blog posts that they / we were paid by some evil Pharmaceutical cabal is rubbish worthy only of some paranoid delusional science fiction novel. I work 70+ hours a week at a real job to support myself. It is sad and alarming that Scientology has now reduced the sum total of their movement to a bizarre rant against Prozac. And they get tax exemption status for that? I was inside the barricade when one of the suspected Scientology agitators came up to us saying “Lets go raid the Org, let’s go break all their windows!” He then attempted to push his way into the barricade past a female protester. He placed his hands on her to bodily move her out of the way. If it wasn’t for the quick response by the NYPD, this could have been a serious case of assault by a suspected Scientologist agitator on one of our members. Just by luck we caught this guy on film and I hope we may eventually ID him much in the same way Scientologists have ID’d protesters by photographing them. What is really scary is that the Scientologist internal paramilitary Security organization (OSA) has been reported to follow protesters home and stalk them at their places of employment, while Scientology affiliated law firms issue protesters with cease and desist notices. I am an American citizen. I Refuse to live in fear of what I believe to be a dangerous cult!

To bburgis:
And an almighty god, the holy trinity, and the virgin birth is anymore plausible? Yes, they are all inventions of man. You only have to read the latin vulgate to realise this; It’s all unhistorical nonsense; clearly written by the people at the time based on their moral and ethical standards, not that of some flawless deity. Stoning is ok? beating one’s wife ok? murder of infidels ok? oh sure, and much much worse. It’s one huge contradiction (the lore of religion that is).
If you don’t agree with their philosophy, then ignore it. Attempting to proselytise others is just another form of indoctrination. I believe every person has the right to choose. I may not agree with their beliefs, but molesting them in this way is unacceptable.
“I Refuse to live in fear of what I believe to be a dangerous cult”
You could argue that any belief system is inherently fanatical. Atheism, christianity, islam, paganism (animism, shamanism), satanism etc. They all deride and reprove other competing systems. They all aspire to proselytise so called heathens.

Lol first comment-clear Scientologist. No one was protesting Katie’s right to be in a play;typical nonsensical Scilon strawman argument. No one was protesting Katie at all as the protestors noted quite clearly. They were protesting Scientology’s crimes. We believe that everyone has the right to freedom of religion. Including the people who want to leave your evil cult, those people whose freedom of religion you continually deny. You call Anonymous “Terrorists”? No one believes, you my dear man, because NY Anonymous protestors against Scientology have never had a problem with the police and their protests have always been peaceful. It was your people, your intelligence service the OSA(what kind of a church needs an intelligence service?) that surrounded peaceful protestors in a park. It was the chaplin of your organization, Marcello Cosentino, who was jumping up and down like a lunatic yelling, “I need Prozac, I need Prozac!” It was your intelligence service that follows peaceful protestors to their homes in the middle of the night in an attempt to figure out who they are so you can harass them.
You are only upset because your organization is crumbling and Anonymous has given it a big figurative push toward the dustbin of history.

“what kind of a church needs an intelligence service?”
The catholic church for one. Never heard of the Jesuit order? The papal state used many questionable actions to attain their goals; especially during the counter-reformation.
