Bravo à tous les ” Jeremy Hinzman” de la terre. C’est non à la guerre imbécile d’un président tricheur et menteur dont les seuls motifs
sont de profiter et faire profiter ses amis industriels du pétrole et de l’armement. Cet homme doit être accueuilli chez nous à bras ouverts
tout comme doivent l`être tous les hommes et femmes qui trouvent cette guerre inutile, injuste, illégale et illégitime.

Once again, Jeremy Hinzman was NOT drafted. Of his OWN free will HE signed up to join the army…. HE DID… no one forced him to join. It is IRRELEVANT where he is asked to serve. HE JOINED THE ARMY. Now, they actually ask him to serve, HE chooses to renege on that deal when HE agreed he would serve. He must now face the consequences… end of story.

Even if he wasn’t coerced into joining the military he should have a right to change his mental orientation on that and his career.
I understand that in Canada once you join you are placing yourself in a position where you can be called back any time, as well. Young people should be warned about that when they are considering all that free training they’ll get and the guaranteed job after.

btw the USA drafts its soldiers , so he was forced to serve and did a tour and like any KID DOES NOT LIKE IT.
like vietnam the usa is in a war they cannot win, and should not have started.

this was his own choice to believe in his country and fight for freedoms.

However, the US never did and never was able to implicate Iraq in anything. The Canadian Gov made the right choice by asking for the PROOF of iraqi involvement which the US could not produce and would not give. Thus Canada’s stance was no proof, no war in Iraq.

The so called “war on terror” is nothing more than a US farce.

Should Miliary personal be used as pawns in an US government farce?

This guy did the right thing by leaving the military and the country based on facts and conscientious objections.

he decided to serve his country regardless of where and why.
if you don’t agree with fighting a war don’t join the military simple as that.
its not like ww1 and 2 where you were told you are going, this was his own choice.

Canada should not only be allowing Hinzman to stay, but also questioning its own involvement in this farce known as the “War on Terror”!All the hard questions about 9/11 itself don’t appear to have been answered, and I have to wonder if the Canadian Government ever even asked over the 7 years afterward.
