Canadian gang killing streamed online
p2pnet news view Crime | P2P:- Police in Edmonton, Alberta, are hoping surfers may be able to help them track down the killer of a 30-year-old with alleged gang ties, says Sun Media.
“After at least nine shots were blasted, police said a little white car fled the scene as traffic cameras broadcast the scene to the Internet masses,” says the story, going on to quote city police spokeswoman Karen Carlson as saying:
“Maybe there are some night owls that were watching these live feeds and might have seen something that will help the investigation,” said
Cameras offer live-feeds through the city’s website, but, “don’t actually record traffic,” the story has transportation spokesman Ben Mittelsteadt stating.
“Information on how heavily viewed the videos are was not immediately available,” Sun Media says, adding, “Police suspect gang activities motivated yesterday’s killing and said the Edmonton victim was well known to the gang unit.”
