Not only is it seen as the broadcast format of the future but the virtual store as well. Can't have competition that sells for free. They just can't see a way to beat that so the order of the day is to find some way to get it gone. They don't see their stores as being successful as long as p2p is around.

Old media wants a return to broadcast style news, entertainment, and information distribution so that they can continue to have absolute control over what we see and hear. The internet has broken that control. This scares them to death. We can now find out the truth about so many things such as how Gore actually won the election in 2000 and Kerry won in 2004. See the HBO documentary 'Hacking Democracy' and another Documentary 'Uncounted' for how those elections were stolen.

The truth is out there and you can find it on the internet. Well, you can this week. It certainly isn't certain how long this will remain true. The corporations have already started to try to convert the internet into a broadcast medium. Peer-to-peer is important if we expect to preserve freedom.
