p2pnet news view | Movies:- US actress Scarlett Johansson and Canada’s Ryan Reynolds were married Saturday at a “remote wilderness resort” in British Columbia, Canada.

The location? Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island, “reached by a 45-to-60-minute boat ride or a quick floatplane trip from Tofino,” says the Vancouver Sun.

Or five or six hours from p2pnet’s luxurious central headquarters, which is also on Vancouver Island.

Were we invited? No.

/sigh.

Reynolds, meanwhile, is from Vancouver on the mainland, not to be confused with The Island, and, “The small and secret wedding was apparently in line with Johansson’s wishes, as she had been quoted as saying she wanted a private wedding because it’s no one else’s business.

“Still, that didn’t stop the planet from speculating about the nuptials, as Internet sites round the world seized on the story,”says the Sun, adding:

“Reynolds, who attended Prince of Wales and Kitsilano high schools, is no stranger in his hometown. He comes home often from Los Angeles, and two of his three elder brothers are police officers in B.C.

“His father, Jim, was a Vancouver food wholesaler, while his mother, Tammy, was a retail store saleswoman.”

He apparently, “doesn’t have the high profile or recognition of his wife,” although he’s, “established himself as an articulate, gifted actor with pretty-boy looks and a humanitarian side”.
