I can only describe this practise as disgusting. Effectively brainwashing kids who should be learning from the school by offering them gifts and prizes in exchange for their co-operation in reciting everything the record industry shoves down their throat is not only wrong itself, it undermines the school in so many ways.

The EFF is absolutely right, this stinks of dictatorship education. Who the hell are the RIAA to take over from the government and force the hand of schools to preach these "moral" lessons. It sickens me to the stomach.

Kids will learn what they are taught, and they will take it as being fact. It is absolutely not the place of fatcats in the recording industry to dictate what kids should be learning.

In the UK I can only hope this kind of foul practise would never be allowed in state schools. Commercialism plays no part in British education, it just amazes me that this sort of practise is tolerated.
