Layton gives Harper F for Fail

p2pnet news view | P2P | Politics:- New Democrat leader Jack Layton has given prime minister Stephen Harper’s newly-unveiled platform an F for Fail — failing to protect the interests of Canadian families in tough economic times.

He says in contrast to Harper’s “do-nothing attitude,” the NDP’s top priority is “to ensure we protect the savings, pensions, homes and jobs of ordinary Canadians.”

The New Democrats will “re-regulate the banks, and make sure no one is gambling with your savings,” he promises in a statement.

Asking to supporters of the Liberal, Green, and old Progressive Conservatives to come together and defeat Stephen Harper by supporting New Democrats, “Ordinary working families are worried about their savings, their pensions, their homes, and their jobs,” Layton said.

“They want to know if they are going to be safe and secure.”

One Response to “Layton gives Harper F for Fail”

I observe that Harper says that he has a plan, but then, instead of outlining or describing any aspects of his plan, instead, he issued a stream of platitudes, talking points, and miscellaneous sound bites. But trust me, I have a plan. Really? What exactly is it then? I think we should be told. Or is that asking too much?
