		<description>First of all I agree with the post above that Harper, as the leader of a minority government, did not have much room to veer from a mid course. And given the Golb and Nail&#039;s assessment of him as a right-wing ideologue that may have been just as well.

It is my belief that with the current acute economic debacle and a looming environmental crisis we are in need of someone who comes accross as more than just a competent manager.

Finally, our country is one which doesn&#039;t generally feature much in international headlines, we are a steady, moderate society. That&#039;s why it was particularly shameful to read in recent years how much of the rest of the world derided Canada for it&#039;s role in scuppering various global environmental initiatives.

We have to give someone else a chance to lead the country.</description>

His bid for a war in iraq failed Hit attempt at criminalizing the small possession of a single pot plant failed,  his bill to oust vitamins and natural remedies failed. I guess the globe forgot to mention that.
