Now meet Twicco.

“Twitter has launched a group and community feature in Japan today, called Twicco.jp,” posts Loic Lemeur, going on, “it lets users create and follow a group instead of an individual account”.

Twitter Japan is a joint venture with Digital Garage and (by way of a forecast of the shape of things to come in North America, no doubt) has already differentiated itself from Twitter US, “with ads in the feeds” and therefore a, “monetization option right from the beginning”.

Oh goody.
