Autopsy scheduled for Brandon Crisp
p2pnet news view | Games:- Civic authorities in Barrie, Ontario, are still waiting for autopsy results to confirm a body found yesterday is that of 15-year-old Brandon Crisp, who ran away from his parents’ home on Thanksgiving.
But there’s little doubt.
“The remains located were that of a youth and it is believed to be Brandon Crisp,” says an Ontario Provincial Police statement.
“Further investigation is required to substantiate the identity. It is too early to speculate whether foul play is being considered.”
Brandon went missing after a row with his parents over the Microsoft XBox game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
His mother and father took the game away, “because they felt he had become obsessed with it and his many connections in the online gaming community,” says the CBC.
“The body was discovered Wednesday morning by hunters in a field northeast of his hometown of Barrie,” says the story.
“It was found in the Shanty Bay area where searches have been taking place since Oct. 20.”
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter from Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Mac OS X, PlayStation 3, Windows, and XBox 360.
It’s rated M for Mature with, “content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older,” says the gaming industry’s ESRB.
“Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.”
