It wasn’t until I was about 14 or 15 that I realized that all these guys who had been very friendly, talkative, and touchy in park restrooms were queers looking for a sodomy partner. At least in college they were easy to spot, the only middle-aged men hanging out in the student center (and apparently all with very small bladders/bowels).

The world population is 11% gay. Someone in your family is likely gay and still in the closet. How do you suppose they feel? Is it your brother? Your sister? They can thank the likes of the just over 50% of the American voters for their dilemma. How would you feel? Is life not hard enough? Get a life and leave the gays alone. They aren’t hurting anybody – they are way more cool than homophobes.

I’ve known, and know, plenty of gay men and women and many of them are far more open minded and generous than so-called ’straights’.

As far as I can see, gay people are the same as everyone else. They have the same aspirations, the same hopes and dreams, and the same need to be able to share their lives with someone they love.

I have no time or sympathy for those who hate, or especially those who spread the message and politics of hate using the Bible and religion as their basis. It’s amazing how people twist and interpret the messages of the Bible to match their own viewpoints. If I wanted to claim that pigs can fly, I could probably find some statement in the Bible that I could say backs this statement up. Many major religions ignore the basic teachings of Jesus, in favor of their own desires. Jesus never taught hate.

Who cares if gays want to marry, it doesn’t change my relationship with my wife.
Who cares if gays want to adopt children, as long as those children are loved.
Who cares? Do you? Feeling superior, are we?

Equility is for everyone but not if it should interfer with the majority. You dont get to do something just cause you think you should be able to.

People still have the view that marriage is a union under god. And seeing that almost every religion considers homosexuality immoral and wrong in the eyes of god then how can people accept gay marriage. What if a church or minister doesnt want to marry a gay couple would they then be sued for discrimination?

And knocking ones religion is also discrimination. We all have the right to believe in something or nothing. If people want to believe in a god or gods, or a book that may be true or not then they should be. As far fetched as some ideas are they may be true. No one knows.

I have no personal views leading one way or another. Eventually people may be more accepting to gays but it just not be the time yet.

At least child custody would be a simple matter, since only one of them can be the biological parent.

Are they both still “virgins” after they “divorce”?

Although the Bible might condemn “men lying with men” it says nothing about women same-sexing.

I feel that if anybody wants to raise a family through a gay marriage or continue living their life happily married thats good for them they found someone they can be happy with, I dont think we should EVER stop someone from being happy simply by being legally married.

Christians are the worse of the lot. If Jesus were real and alive today, he would be ashamed of the comment made by the supposed Christian above. For the sake of argument, lets say it’s all true, and Jesus really is the son of God,his main message was a message of tolerance and understanding– something that is obviously missing from many Christians (including the one who wrote the above comment) moral compass.

Ther’s nothing worng with having spiritual beliefs, but keep them to yourself, don’t push your shit on me and tell me how to live my life based on your cave-dwelling (oh wait, according to the Bible there were no cave dwellers) superstitious crap.

The day that Canada legally accepted gay marriage made me proud to be Canadian, even though I am not gay.
