In this a day of hoaxes and super-spoofs, one of which centres on Sarah Palin, we can reveal she isn’t who she seems to be.
Not in the widely circulated pic of her as a gun-totin’ Alaskan, anyhow.
It’s a cut-and-merge (probably Photoshop) of an unidentified woman brandishing a BB gun, as Snopes.com points out, stating »»»
“It’s an unfortunate aspect of modern life that just about any woman who enters the public sphere at a national level is presumed to have posed for risqué photographs (anything from cheesecake shots to nude pictures) at some point in her past, and that (whether she has will not) examples of such photos will inevitably he fabricated and put on public display.”
The site also has clips of Palin-alikes supposedly in Playboy and in a Chinese newspaper.
The black-and-white picture at the bottom, supposedly of a much younger, and very nude, Palin, is a double fake, says Snopes.
Nor is it of Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, the original victim.
Nothing is as it seems. But was it ever?
